CHANGE THE CHANNEL

In recent years, our lives have been battered; our sails have been torn; and our souls have been bruised. Nevertheless, we have survived, because through every storm we have been sheltered by God’s amazing grace, so that we may able to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.”

A WORD OF CAUTION: Please don’t try to sail your ship in a storm unless you know enough to look for the lighthouse and steer clear of the treacherous coastline; even so, your ship will be battered and the storm will prevail; but you must be strong enough to withstand the storm.

If this message resonates with where you are right now, remember God’s promise – “There will be no loss among you, only your ship. You need to change course.”

No matter what happens, BELIEVE GOD. Do not be deceived or discouraged, and whatever you do, stay in the lifeboat and do not release the lifeline. Do not try to navigate or chart your own course, because you have drifted into uncharted waters. Call on the harbormaster – Jesus, the Christ – He is the master navigator, and He will give you new bearings and a new port of call.

If you can hear Jesus in the midst of the howling winds, then you know that you are on board the right ship, and your cargo is safe. Who knows what would have happened that night, had the disciples not awaken him, had he not spoken those words, “Peace be still.” What if the disciples had decided that it was a hopeless situation, and they had just decided to abandon ship and go overboard – or worse yet, resolve to go down with the ship? Where would you be at this moment? Where would your precious cargo be? If this is where you are right now, Don’t worry about this storm. It will soon be abated. Take your ship out to sea – Launch out into the deep, where there is nothing beneath you, except the hand of God and nothing above you, except his effervescent glory. Set your sights on the things that are above forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, (and) press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philppians 3: 14 & 15).
