A Dialogue with God

As a concerned citizen for faithfulness in Christ, it grieves my spirit to see the deceitfulness that has gripped the children of God.   Sometimes I wonder if I am the confused one. I’m new in this arena of spiritual intercession, and some things are still a bit confusing for me.  So as not to miss the mark, I took this question  to the Lord – Lord, what do I say to “Christians” who tell me “we walk by faith and not by sight,” and in the same breath they tell me that they “have to count the cost” on something that “God has dropped in my spirit” to do? What would you say, Lord? Please clarify this issue for me. Thanks, Denise.

Without any fanfare, in the quietness of my mind, he delivered the answer to me in crystal clarity. Maybe I’m mistaken, but my understanding of walking by faith means that you just do it, and let the Lord count the cost. If you have to worry about the cost, then what you received was not from God. After all, if he did direct you, he would have already prepared the way.

Thank you Lord, you are an Awesome God.

Now, I have another question. How would you deliver such a message without it being a slap in the face?  Isn’t that telling them that they are lacking in faith?

Yes, that is the purpose. They are lacking in faith.  Faith is not bounded by the realm of reality.  To walk in faith means you must function in the spirit.  The spirit knows no boundaries, except those of good and evil – right and wrong.  A good spirit will not condone wrongdoing, and a corrupt spirit will not bear the fruit of righteousness.  Therefore, you will know them by their fruits.
