PEOPLE TUG AT YOU FROM WHERE THEY ARE

PEOPLE TUG AT YOU FROM WHERE THEY ARE

PEOPLE TUG AT YOU FROM WHERE THEY ARE, how you respond to them determines where you are. If they are beneath you, they will tug at you from below, if they are at your side, they will tug at you from the side.  If you are stable in your mind, you will address their needs before your fears.  If you are not you, you will more than likely become condescending or disdainful, because in your mind, they have interrupted your life.  For many people, the fear is that they are trying to bring you to where they are, especially if where they are is someplace other than where you think you should be.  However, truth be made known, the simple act of a tug means they are vying for your attention.  So, in essence, what they are asking is that you turn your attention from where you are and focus it on them.  This is because they are trying to meet an objective. Usually, when a person chooses to enter your circle, it is with the desire to fill a need within themselves.  By ignoring someone’s tug, what you are saying is that their needs are unimportant and insignificant. So the right thing to do when someone tugs at you is to acknowledge the person and find out how you can meet their need.  Unfortunately, that is not always the case, because sometimes when someone tugs at you, it is with the sole purpose of disturbing you.  However, the most important thing that  you need to realize is that people relate to each other from where they are in their lives, and since many times we are in different places – and stages of life, we can miss the opportunity to affect someone in a positive way that may forever altar the course of their lives. If you are to be effective at affecting people in a positive way, you have to always be mindful of where people are in the perimeters of your life-and theirs.  The further away they are from you, the more you need to work at bringing them closer to your center.  In that I mean it’s not about what they do to you, it’s about what you do to them in return. You cannot hold people accountable for not doing something from a place other than where they are in life.
