Dear Lord and Heavenly Father,
The Church is becoming a fallacy – a stock house of worldly endeavors – and it is a sorrowful thing. In your word, you told us that we are the salt of the earth, and if the salt loses its flavor wherewith would the earth be salted? That is a great concern of mine. If you cannot go into the church and find the path that leads to salvation, what is the church coming to? What is its purpose in these end times?
I don’t want to be a wet blanket on a dwindling fire, but I do believe that this self-ignited flame needs to be extinguished. When I look at what is happening in the church, I am grieved, because the church has promise. Even so, the church is straying further away from the platform of faith on which it was founded. This is your house, your people – your children. O Lord, have mercy upon us.
Dear Lord, please forgive me if I’m wrong in my observations and perceptions, but if I am right, Lord, then I pray that you – in your divine mercy – would intercede and make utterance for your people. I pray that there would be a wave of revival in the church that would return the hearts of the children unto the father – that they may seek only the things that are pleasing unto your sight; teach them your ways, O Lord – and lead them by your spirit. Prepare before them a table of truth and righteousness. Create in them a new heart and a new mind – and restore them wholly unto you, Lord. Place a thorn in the ministers flesh that would keep them in right-standing order that would bruise their spirit whenever they stray too far away from the truth that is the living word.
Scriptures of Reference:
7The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 8The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether. 10They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. 11Moreover, by them Your servant is warned; In keeping them there is great reward.
(Psalm 19:7-11/NASB
1O Lord, rebuke me not in thine anger, nor chasten me in thy hot displeasure. 2Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed. (Psalm 6:1&2 – KJV)
1Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. 2Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. (Psalm130:1 & 2 – KJV)
Hear my prayer O Lord, and let my cry come unto thee.
Provide for us a pathway in the wilderness and an oasis in the desert, Lord. Return the church to its humble beginnings as a place of praise and worship – wherein you are the foundation and the chief corner stone. Chastise them Lord, and teach them to lean not unto their own understanding.
In Jesus Name I Pray – amen.
