Jesus, the way, the truth and the life

To all those who have been affected by the natural disasters of recent time and other elements of discomfort.

So sorry to hear about the sorrows of your time, but it is a holy God who says that he will never put more upon you than you than you can bear, or let you be tempted beyond that which you can endure, and with every temptation he will leave a way out. That way is Jesus, the truth and the life…The good shepherd who goes after his sheep beyond the gates of safety and brings it back into the fold, to graze faithfully in the land of promise, as if the departure, the mishap, the misgiving, the storm, etc. never happened.
God has not left you on a deserted island to fend for yourself. He has surrounded you with a universe of life, love and laughter, and a time that knows no end. Even though at times you may feel like you are the last man standing, know that you aren’t. God has told us through the scripture that we will never walk alone, and we will never not be provided for. So if we understand the magnitude of such a statement, we’ll come to understand that just because the streets look empty and the horizon looks dull and gray doesn’t mean that the dust has settled and the fat lady has sung. It is not midnight at the Okay Corral.
God is an enabler. He meets you at your point of need, and does whatever he needs to do to remedy that need. Sometimes what you need is down time, so that your system can be tuned up. Sometimes, you may need to have some shaky parts tightened, broken parts removed, worn parts replaced, get a little balancing done for greater alignment, get more fuel in the engine, and have your range increased so that your signals would be clearer, or you just need a total recall. Point is, God knows just what you need to keep you on the cutting edge of performance, and he will not allow any obstacles in your part that could be a hindrance to his cause.
