Word for Today: Trust in the Lord
3Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck,Write them on the tablet of your heart.4So you will find favor and good repute In the sight of God and man. 5Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight… (Proverbs 3:3-6, NASB)
God has gifted every person with a uniqueness to life that is theirs alone to keep or t…o impart…if you walk in the wisdom of his grace, you will get a clear revelation that his purpose for your being is like the petal of a rose, or a spoke in a bicycle wheel, or the pulse of a beating heart…by yourself, you may not think that you have much to offer, but when you work in tandem with the plan he has for you, your bidding becomes someone else’s gainful experience, because no man is an island, and no man stands alone, and like I tell my husband time and again, if it was up to you pencillin would never have been discovered, electricty would still be a mystery, America would not be an independent nation, and they’d never be a bridge for you to cross over, because of you idea about what can one person do.
To answer his question: One can chase a thousand and two can put ten thousand to flight … the question is which one are you, the one who fight alone, or the one who join forces and increase the probability? If you chose not to suit up and show up at the starting line to represent your uniqueness because your family and friends are sitting by the dock of the bay or standing on the side line, that tells me that you’re not yet ready to cross the finish and be all that you can be..so you can keep your candle hidden in the drawer of doubtfulness, and I’ll keep mine lit and set upon a lamp post for all the world to see…and maybe, just maybe, the light from my candle will bring enough warmth to yours to light the flame and illuminate the darkness that has taken hold of your mind…for as a man thinks in his heart so is he, and until you learn how to believe in the you that you are and accept that with person with greatfulness, without pride or prejudice, or self-loathing, I’ll keep believing for you and me … and continue to persevere toward the expected end…and pray for your strength and dogged determination to sound forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat and run the race of life the best way you can.
