– When Wait Seems Like Forever –
When wait seems like forever, be mindful that God is still on the throne. He is still the eternal God, the Everlasting Father, Jehovah Jireh – The Great Provider, Jehovah – Nissi – The Great Protector, the Lord and Giver of Life.
God is a merciful father, and his ears are attuned to your cries, but God is not moved by a mere display of emotions. He is moved only by fervor – The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much – and He will manifest His works in a pure and contrite heart. (See Romans 14:16-20). Therefore, if you have been steadfast in prayer and fasting, interceding for others and believing God but have not yet experienced breakthrough – examine yourself. Better yet, ask God to examine you, as David did in (Psalm 51:1-17).
We will sing for joy over your victory, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the LORD fulfill all your petitions. (Psalm 20:5)
