In this moment, Lord, I raise an anthem of prayer, praise and petition before you trusting that your word shall not return to you void, but that it will accomplish the purpose to which it has been sent, and that you will bind the works of the enemy that is coming against your chosen people, who are the light of this world, and set forth in the midst of darkness for such a time as this to give renewed hope to the believer, comfort to the broken-hearted, refuge to the lost, food to the hungry, and strengthen them immeasurably for every step they are called to take in their tireless journey. Give them an oasis in their desert places, minister healing to the wounded, and recovering of sight to the spiritually and physically blind.
Grant that the angels of heaven encamp around them and keep them safe by their circle of protection. Lord, lift them up when they falter and grow wearing in well-doing, and carry them when we are tired; grant them rest when they are weary; feed them with the bread of Life when they’re are hungry, and let them continue to drink from that ever flowing fountain that is the water of life, until the set time when you call them humbly into perpetual rest.
