Branches of the Same Tree

I’m sitting at my computer right now, WRESTLING WITH DISGRUNTLEMENT while juggling notifications to different members of my social network and fielding questions that gives me no great cause for concern, and addressing issues that really don’t beg my intervention, and it dawned on me…We are all branches of the same tree, but not every branch grows the same, bears fruit, or is pruned at the same time…but no matter what state of affair you’re in personally, we’re all rooted in the same soil, blown by the same wind, watered by the same stream…and the Master Gardener knows just what it takes to present us in our best array for the season that we’re in and prepare and preserve us for seasons to come. So, to quote Pastor Steven Furtick (Taking Control Of Your Mind), “Focusing on what is broken will never set you free, so as long as your question is Why did they, and when will they, and how will they, God says, ‘What is that? Why did I call YOU?” “What did I call YOU to do?”

[Your questions] “What did God call me to do?” “What has God given me in this season that can’t be taken away?” “What can I control?” “What can I speak?” “What can I activate?” “How can I move it forward?” “What are the advantages?”

“All you gotta do is change the question [God, Give Me Your Priorities (Genesis 18, verses 12-13)]…even if you don’t know all the answers – cause God said, ‘No, I’m not going to give you an answer, I’m going to give you a better questions – What are you doing in this place, after you’ve seen me, time and time again, roll back the heavens and rend the sky and come down and crush your enemies?” “WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?”

“….He was running from himself – because he got the question wrong…” (1 Kings 19, verses 13-14)

“So, if the Devil can’t distract you, he’ll discourage you.” “You wouldn’t know how much it matters until after, you have to control your focus NOW. You might not know how much you matter until after, but you gotta have faith to believe it right NOW. YOU ARE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD NOW.” … HE can take the time you thought you lost, he’s a multiplier, and HE can give it back to you, but you gotta take it.”

Thank you, Lord, for the watering of your WORD. “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments. I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O Lord, according unto thy word. Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord, and teach me thy judgments. My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law. The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.” (Psalm 119:105-110-KJV)
