Intercessory Prayer for the Lamplighters

In this moment, Lord, I raise an anthem of prayer, praise and petition before you trusting that your word shall not return to you void, but that it will accomplish the purpose to which it has been sent, and that you will bind the works of the enemy that is coming against your chosen people, who are the light of this world, and sent forth by you in the midst of darkness for such a time as this to give renewed hope to the believer, comfort to the broken-hearted, refuge to the lost, food to the hungry, recovering of sight to the blind, and strengthen them immeasurably for every step they are called to take in their tireless journey. Give them an oasis in their desert places, minister healing to the wounded, and recovering of sight to the spiritually and physically blind.
Lord, you have asked your father that we not be removed from this world, because we are the light of the world, but that he should give us grace that we might endure. Today, Lord, I ask the same of you. Gird up your chosen people, Lord. Repair that rent that is in their armor, Lord, as they continue to stand in the heat of fire for the deliverance of your people, 0 Lord. Grant that the angels of heaven encamp around them and keep them safe by their circle of protection. Lord, lift them up when they falter and grow wearing in well-doing, and carry them when we are tired; grant them rest when they are weary; feed them with the bread of Life when they are hungry, and let them continue to drink from that ever-flowing fountain that is the water of life, until the set time when you call them humbly into perpetual rest.
In the most precious, holy, and matchless name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
