Above All Else, Pursue God’s Kingdom
“And he said unto his disciples, “Therefore, I say unto you, “Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. [22] The life is more than mean and the body is more than raiment.” [23] And seek not what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of a doubtful mind. [29] For all these things do the nations of the world seek after; and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. [30] But rather seek ye the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. [31] Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father good pleasure to give you the kingdom. [32] Sell your possessions and give alms (to charity); provide yourselves bags (of spiritual endowment) which wax not old (does not diminish with time), a treasure in heaven that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupted (nothing on earth can take it away). [33] For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” [34] (Luke 12:22, 23, and 29-34 – KJV)
