“In the aura of life, the first order of creation, the North Star, or Polaris, is a very special star that sits almost directly at the Earth’s North celestial pole. It’s the only bright motionless star in the sky. It’s a more consistent navigational tool than a magnetic compass. “ (https://starwalk.space/en/news/polaris-north-star)
What is your North Star? What is it that keeps you buoyant when all else is falling and failing? What is it that keeps you steadfast, always abounding in the things that are right, proper, true – and most importantly lasting? What is the thing that keeps you “Going Against the Grain of Normalcy?” Go deep into your consciousness, it, and never lose sight of it – no matter how fierce or adverse the circumstances are that come against you. “Thus, saith Jehovah unto you: Fear not, nor be dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” (2 Chronicles 20:15, KJV)
Many times we have a need that we are not even aware of until the gap in our consciousness is bridged by spiritual enlightenment and awareness. This is a shortcoming that many of us face, because we are always in worker mode … we always feel that we have to be doing something more than we have already done, so we never learn what it means to “be still and know” for ourselves, that God is an able provider. We never see Him in all his glory, because we are looking at His works through the weary, teary eyes of guilt, condemnation, remorse, aggravation, frustration, and a whole host of other worldly maladies. The Woman at the Well recognized that truth and threw down her bucket and said, “Give me this water,” (John 4:15) then she ran down the street shouting, “Come see a man.” John 4:29)
The lepers ate their full, then said, “What we are doing is not a good thing, keeping this to ourselves, let us go and tell the others of this great thing that we have found.” That, prolific and prophetic Sermon in s Nutshell is what is lacking in these modern times. We don’t know what we have because we don’t take stock of our haves, instead, we dwell way too intensely on our have-nots, but I am fully aware of both, because I make a conscious decision each and every day to speak truth to the annals of time and circumstances; testify to His faithfulness despite my bouts of willful disobedience, and declare God’s glory in my life, because I know what He has done for me, and how long He has walked this journey with me; and when I tell people about it, it’s not me being pretentious, and it’s not so that they could look to me as their saving grace but to look beyond the veil of my physical attributes to see HIS manifested presence in me and endeavor to seek him for their own outpouring, for ?He is not a man that He should lie,” and “He is Faithful that promised.” (Scriptures of Reference: Isaiah 15:29 and Hebrews 10:23).
