Change the Channel

My experiences with God ministering to me in one to one counseling sessions are many. A lot of my experiences are documented in various particulars of my writing as the spirit so directs, so the more you read what I write, the more the true spirit of God working in my life is revealed to you, to me, and to every person with whom I have been in encounter since that spirit was awakened within me. I know people will tell you that the Spirit of God comes to live within you when you accept Christ as Savior, but I’m telling you a different story today. I’m telling you that is a fallacy, because the Spirit of God lives and dwells within you from day one. Go back to Genesis – “Let us make man in our image.” What image? The spiritual image of the Godhead. “God is a Spirit and they that worship must worship him in spirit and in truth.” That is the image of God. He is a spirit – and you are created in that image. You bear the mark of God, because you are the image of God. By that same token, we also bear the mark of the adversary, because when our fore parents sinned, they received the mark of ungodliness. That is why scripture tells us that we were “all born in sin and shapen in iniquity.” (I know that there is a message going forth here, and up until this even moment, I never saw life from this perspective, so please follow me through. This is a new revelation to me, and it is genetically deep and spiritually engendered, I want you to receive it into your spirit in accordance with the word of the Living God.)

Be mindful also that though the strength of your spiritual genetics may account for your spiritual bend and physical manifestation, it certainly goes deeper than that.

We are all products of our environment, and we are all subject to influence. Yes, you are, indeed, and just as toxic waste destroys the physical body, it will destroy the soul. However, the further removed you are from it, the less chance you have of being affected by it. Even so, it will influence your actions and your attitude. Reason being, if you know that there is a toxic waste dump on the south side, you’ll more than likely walk on the north side, etc. Even so, the poisoned elements of your spiritual environment may be so subtle as to not affect you, yet they are strong enough to influence you. If someone you knew got hit by a car, you’ll tend to be more cautious about crossing the street. Influence runs deep and travels far. I don’t know my grandmother, but I learned to cook, bake and sew because she taught my mother those skills, which she learned from her mother, and so on. See what I mean. God knows the power of influence, that is why he chosen to bless those “That walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.” (Psalm 1:1) and admonished the children of Israel to “teach them (the Commandments of God) diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk to them. And shalt tie them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.” (Deuteronomy 6:7& 8).

In recent years, our lives have been battered; our sails have been torn; and our souls have been bruised. Nevertheless, we have survived, because through every storm we have been sheltered by God’s amazing grace, so that we may able to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.”

A WORD OF CAUTION: Please don’t try to sail your ship in a storm unless you know enough to look for the lighthouse and steer clear of the treacherous coastline; even so, your ship will be battered and the storm will prevail; but you must be strong enough to withstand the storm.

If message resonates with where you are right now, remember God’s promise – “There will be no loss among you, only your ship. You need to change course.”

No matter what happens, BELIEVE GOD. Do not be deceived or discouraged, and whatever you do, stay in the lifeboat and do not release the lifeline. Do not try to navigate or chart your own course, because you have drifted into uncharted waters. Call on the harbormaster – Jesus, the Christ – He is the master navigator, and He will give you new bearings and a new port of call.

If you can hear Jesus in the midst of the howling winds, then you know that you are on board the right ship, and your cargo is safe. Who knows what would have happened that night, had the disciples not awaken him, had he not spoken those words, “Peace be still.” What if the disciples had decided that it was a hopeless situation, and they had just decided to abandon ship and go overboard – or worse yet, resolve to go down with the ship? Where would you be at this moment? Where would your precious cargo be? If this is where you are right now, Don’t worry about this storm. It will soon be abated. Take your ship out to sea – Launch out into the deep, where there is nothing beneath you, except the hand of God and nothing above you, except his effervescent glory. Set your sights on the things that are above forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, (and) press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philppians 3: 14 & 15).
