Fear: Face Your Giant

Face Your Giant

10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. 11For through wisdom your days will be multiplied, and years will be added to your life.… (Proverbs 9:10 & 11)

In our human capacity, we will experience doubts, and conceptualize fear…that is normal, and at times quite beneficial, but in your spirit, you should “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6, NASB) … Therefore, “be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 2:1, NASB).

Therefore: Heed the the words of wisdom, according to the full measure of his word

(Proverbs 3:5-10, NASB)

Do not let kindness and truth leave you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart

So you will find favor and good repute
In the sight of God and man

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And do not lean on your own understanding

In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.

Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

It will be healing to your body,
And refreshment to your bones

Honor the LORD from your wealth,
And from the first of all your produce

So your barns will be filled with plenty,
And your vats will overflow with new wine.

Please reply back as I’m attempting to create my very own site and want to know where you got

    • Hi,

Thanks for the kind sentiment. Happy to hear that you “really love” my “blog…Great colors & theme.” I take no credit for putting the site together, my great contribution is the words ins the posts and the pictures that enhance or define them. Sorry about the late reply, but as you can see, this is a very active and busy site, in addition to work, business, social media, church, and family obligations, so my time is quite metered, but I do reply to each and every post myself and individually. No one else is even remotely associated with my blog. Beyond that, it’s all Word Press. The theme is Mixfolio, and I absolutely love it. Tried a few others, nothing clicked like this. Hope my reply is not too late to help you with your “very own site,” but if it is, that’s a good thing…it meant you went another crooked mile to find the answers you desire and do the thing to which you aspired. Either way, I trust that you will take a little bit of time every now and again to come back and read a few other posts. Chances are you’ll find something else (or some more things) that will inspire and/or encourage you. Grace a0nd peace to you. Best regards.

    • Hi Gregorio,

Thanks for your feedback…you are in the majority for someone who thought my post was invaluable, because every other response says otherwise. However, into every life a little rain must fall, so now that you’ve rained on my parade of success, please let me know what you were hoping to find when you clicked on the blog…considering the fact that you asked “where can I find out more?” The question is, more of what? Chances are I have something that will turn your less than enthusiastic opinion into gratefulness, if not on the blog, then in one of my over 27 manuscripts waiting to be published, from which I stealthily garnish the experiences that I have already written about things that I have already harnessed in times past, to make regular contributions to this blog and by default to other people’s life, whom I don’t know and may never ever meet on a personal level, but whose lives I’ve contributed to in a positive way…and prayerfully yours, as well.

    • Sorry, I can’t help you in that regard. I’m a writer by nature, and write is what I do. Sharing what I write wasn’t always easy, because of the very personal nature, but now it’s almost second nature, especially light of all these great comments, and people who are finding themselves (and others) in my posts. Run it through WordPress and see what they have to offer…I find that they are very good with what they do…this is one of three sites we have with them. The other is business, and one is a family web page…and they all get rave reviews, but in all fairness to me and my honorable followers…the words are all mine, but the work is 100% Word Press…all I do is add words and images.

    • Wow! I was about to close off my responses for the night, but then I saw your comment. Please rest assured that this blog is no written by your cousin, even though you wrongfully believe that “nobody else recognize such certain approximately (your) problem.” Not sure where you are spiritually, but I can tell from your comment that this blog met you where you were and took you to some place where you needed to be…and that’s a very, very good thing, because that is why my blog is Lifeline of Hope. My method is simple, honest, pure and true — and I am a passionate writer, who is not afraid to talk about my life experiences in their glorious or goriest form or honestly express the feelings I emote during the changing seasons of my life…so whatever season (state of mind) I’m in when I’m writing you are getting true depth…and seeing my true colors, so there’s no short-changing the reader with flip flops, flip offs, mood-swings, second-hand emotions, hurtfulness, doubts, fear, inhibitions, misplaced anger, misguided notions, or misconstrued conceptualizations. That true depth is what got to you…and it’s more likely than not the reason your cousin introduced you to my blog, because he knew it was going to take you there. Thank him! He is worthy of being called a Mighty Man of Valor,” because his ears are attuned to the word of truth and his spirit is receptive to the depth of understanding that it takes to turn the tide of time into favor, and bring about lasting and rewarding change…in himself and others…and he cared enough to lay himself bare before you to introduce you to his lair, that you, too, can wax gracefully in the healing balm of Gilead, and be soothed in your body, mind, soul and spirit…to the degree that you felt the need to write and tell me about it. I trust that you will continue to visit and read more of my blogs and the comments of other follows, as well as my replies, and do tell someone else, to come and draw from the well that is “approximate” to your problem and will be equally approximate to theirs, because the well that I draw from is eternal…and I access it daily through my experiences and share from freely through my writings.

I also hope you felt better after telling your story, even though you felt that it “is entirely off topic.” I also trust that you find the pathway that took you from there to here to be more advantageous in many ways than the fateful end to your IPad. Eighty three views isn’t bad coming out of the barn, but my feeling is that your cousin do need to use a little more wisdom and less folly for her Youtube antics. Do stop by again, and let me know how you’re doing, and invite your cousin to read some of these blogs with you…she’ll thank you for it in time to come, and may even be inspired and encouraged to buy you another IPad, a laptop, or even a desktop computer for introducing her to the Lifeline of Hope. Best regards.

    • Wow! Thanks a mil! I love the way you express yourself in this comment. Then I did a double-take and realize that you are a blogger, too. Phenomenal! I truly appreciate your kind compliments about my writing style, the fact that I am making it enjoyable and continue to take care to stay it smart. The truth is that I am the first reviewer in my audience, because sometimes I go back and read over what I have written and go, Wow! That went deep, or wide, or far…or whatever, and at times, even I am shocked by my own candor, but I’m writing about my life experiences, and how I worked my way through them, to get to the break-through point where I am in my life now, and literally giving you a bird’s eye view into my psyche, so nothing is (ever was or will ever be) pretentious, because every subject matter tells the reader a candid story about the me that I am, and equally important the me that you could be if you can stand your ground in like manner. That is why my writing comes to you with the same intensity that I felt when I was putting pen to paper, and/or fingertip to keyboard. Lastly, as I said, in a few responses last week, albeit not in the same words, the reason I started this blog is because I want the reader to get the realism of a promised-filled and purpose driven life, because if you take the time to read it, that tells me that it nabbed you somewhere and drew you in for a reason, as such, I want the reader to find themselves somewhere in here and recognize the return on their investment of time…and since it is not (or ever will be) fiction, if it touches them in any way, it will impact their life for the better. That’s the reason why the blog is called Lifeline of Hope…it is meant to help, strengthen, maybe even inspire and encourage each person to want to Go Face their Giant up close, and share the experience with others like I’m sharing it with you, because when all is said and done, we are all branches of the same tree and if you cut a branch the tree will develop a scar in it’s place, and sprout another branch, but if the roots die, so will the tree…and all the branches, and ultimately the fruit, and the populace that it fed, so do continue to read more of my posts, and feel free to share as you see fit.

      Best regards.

Hope you are continuously impressed and encouraged by the other posts, although at times they are far between due to time constraints, as well as the comments from and to other followers…and do feel free to share as you see fit. • Hi Top Shed, I think I answered this question before…but I don’t see my answer, so here we are at a different time and different place addressing a very important issue to you. I am truly encouraged by the fact that you thought my “blog would cost a pretty penny,” but fortunately for you, me, and all the other followers it does not. It’s all about Word Press doing the setup and the marketing, and all I do is put my writings and corresponding photos into the stratosphere. So what I would recommend that you do is visit WordPress and find a theme (website layout) that best represents you in their very large library, and take it from there. Some of the web page themes (designs) are free, other come with a fee, because they are either premium or third-party, but you can start with something simple and work your way up from there. The other good thing about Word Press themes is that they are interchangeable, so you can try different ones on your site to see what’s the best fit, and if you don’t like it, just try another one. If you still have questions, feel free to touch bases with me…and I’ll be happy to walk along beside you (virtually) until you get to the station of your desired expectation.

    • No. I do not have a spam problem. Thank God for small favors. Thank you, also for the offer to “swap methods with other folks,” but unfortunately I can’t take you up on that offer at this point in time. I have a lot on my agenda as it is, and I’m doing lots of broad-stroking to make sure everyone who needs a message in due season will get at least a nugget, or a nibble, if not an entire course, but as Tampa Real Estate pointed out below, my method is simple — I am a passionate writer, who is not afraid to talk about my life experiences in their glorious or goriest form or honestly express the feelings I emote during the changing seasons of my life…so whatever season (state of mind) I’m in when I’m writing you are getting true depth…and seeing my true colors, so there’s no short-changing the reader with flip flops, flip offs, mood-swings, second-hand emotions, hurtfulness, doubts, fear, inhibitions, misplaced anger, or misconstrued conceptualizations. Therefore, it is a fireball of kinetic spiritual energy that shatters, the myth, resolves the madness, and set at liberty they who are held captive (first me, and then everyone else by association), because when I talk about issues, then tend to play over and over in my mind an become a cesspool, but when I write about them, they take on wings…and immediately bring to that cognitive space in my mind that I need to rationally assess, address, and disembody the situation in a most amicable way.

  22. Hey! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you
using for this website? I’m getting fed up of WordPress
because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform.
I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good
    platform.

    • Nothing is off the topic, where I’m concerned — that’s why the blog name is Lifeline of Hope…needs come in very many shapes and forms, and my aspiration is to help people through their hardships with my posts. AS for the site, no, I use WordPress all the way, and I have not yet encountered any problems with spam. I guess the light that is shining on this blog is illuminating the darkness of the mind of people who want to disrupt other people’s life with spam and hacking…and all I can say to that is thank God for small favors, in this wide, wide world of dastardly deeds and ill-repute.

    • Oh, thank you ever so kindly for your thoughtful consideration and keen observation. This is fact, not fiction—and everything that I post here is time-tested, and battle-approved by me, so I have no hesitation in sharing it for the greater good, but it has to be with tact, diplomacy, and finesse, to befit it’s intended purpose, because the only time someone needs a lifeline of Hope is when they are sinking (or have sunken) into hopelessness and is looking for some way to get back on even keel.
